When Time Was Elastic
This summer operated on its own physics.

The kids absolutely CRUSHED camp! Elizabeth is truly my mini, as she spent much of her time at Wyonegonic on horses and in sailboats, and Zach’s riflery skills are sharply on point. Watching them thrive in a new environment reminded me why I loved Wyo so much growing up – that first taste of independence really is the sweetest.
After camp, we headed to Small Point, where I spent every childhood summer. There was something about returning to the place that shaped me, watching my own kids experience those same tidal pools and rocky shores, that really moved me. Honestly, this bi-coastal (let’s pretend Colorado is on a coast) life sometimes feels like one big getaway, and I don’t take it for granted how lucky I am.
HOW TO HIT THAT SUMMER SWEET SPOT: If you have a childhood place that grounds you, make the pilgrimage. Even if it's changed, even if it feels smaller than you remember – there's medicine in those familiar landscapes that you can't get anywhere else.

Team growth and product renovation alert! We've been adding some amazing new team members to help push Partytrick's Pro offering forward and re-imagine our consumer product – because apparently my dreams require more hands than just these two.
But here's what I'm really excited about (sneak peek): we're launching a discovery tool that'll help you find the absolute hottest products for your next gathering. Think of it as your personal party curator, but smarter and with better taste than your last Google search.
SHAMELESS ASK MOMENT: Know any cool brands that would be perfect for my party people (aka YOU)? I'm all ears and welcome every single intro you want to throw my way. Seriously, slide into my DMs (keep it clean).

July has been my East Coast renaissance with a Colorado chaser. Cami (my dog) and I spent most of July in and out of New York with Chris, with some magical trips to Hudson to my sister's storybook flower farm. Those moments – surrounded by blooms, family, and that particular East Coast summer light – reminded me why I need both “coasts” in my life.
As much as I love Colorado and raising my tribe there during the school year, grounding back east fills a completely different part of my soul. Maybe it's the 4th of July at the ocean at LBC with C, maybe it's the way the humidity makes everything feel more alive (including the volume of my hair), or maybe it's just that this Leo needs the water to cool her fire. :)
FINDING “YOUR PLACE”: Do a "place audit" – list the specific activities, people, or rituals that recharge you in each location and how – some might energize you, some might help you exhale, some might inspire creativity, some deep focus. Then use this as a pocket guide for planning trips and deciding how long to stay where. I keep mine in my notes app and check it when I'm feeling unmoored – it reminds me exactly what I need and where to find it.
