My March Mantra: Ski, Skate, Raise, and šŸ„ž

Hi, ,

Colorado is slowly emerging from the frosty grip of winter, and there's a palpable sense of anticipation in the air. Spring, with all its subtle charm, feels like a fresh canvas, and I’m making the most of it!

Elizabeth debuted in her first ice-skating show in the "Yellow Submarine" number (and stole the show, if you ask me), and Zach won his Big Mountain Skiing competition! Talk about a dynamic duo! With the madness of spring in full swing, we’re just bouncing between activities and trying to break the Guinness Book of World Records for most Dutch babies eaten in one day. You know us – never settling for ordinary (and just powering through the stomach aches)!WHAT'S ON MY TO-READ PILE: Jonathan Haidt was my advisor at UVA and just published a new book called The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness - anyone want to book club this with me?

This month I’ve either been chained to my computer or out in the world talking people’s ears off about Partytrick. We’re in the midst of an exciting raise as we evolve Partytrick, and it's been invigorating to explore new opportunities. Thinking outside the box has become our mantra.  And if you want to know some fun, lesser-known facts about me – head over to my LinkedIn where I shared a fun ā€œGet to Know Me (Entrepreneur-Style)ā€ post this week!CURRENT FAVORITE WORK TOOL: I know this might sound bananas, but I travel with a portable monitor to save my eyes from all that squinting at my tiny little laptop screen.

This past weekend, I took a much-needed retreat into the realm of human connection. I unplugged and spent four days with a wonderful friend who came to visit and was reminded how life-affirming talking and laughing and confiding in one another can be. I am all about protecting these moments right now.WHAT WE WATCHED: Forget new releases, we dug into the archives and watched The Holiday and The Devil Wears Prada - that sure was the golden era of movies, if you ask me!
