Mischief and More

Hi, ,
Happy Leap Year! I love February 29th - it feels like we tricked the universe into giving us a little more time to love on each other before we leave the month of candy hearts and red roses behind. Give your people an extra squeeze today!

Zach has been hardcore obsessed with skiing and basketball this winter, so I guess I’m officially a sports mom now! We even hiked the Highland Bowl together recently, which is double black diamond terrain, so please excuse me while I sit over here being impressed with my little man. I’ve been so proud of his determination to challenge himself, and he's seeing all the hard work pay off!
Elizabeth is also currently toting a sports duffel everywhere she goes with gymnastics and ice skating lessons nearly every day, every week. I spy her practicing her technique all over the house, so home is currently doubling as an Olympic complex these days. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO: St. Patrick’s Day is such a fun holiday, especially for the kiddos. I’ll be hosting Partytrick’s A Wee Little St. Patrick’s Day party in a few weeks and am already having fun scheming all the mischievous things my leprechaun will do around the house.

This month I was named a 2023 Entreprenista 100 Award Winner! This award honors 100 exemplary women business owners who have persevered through unimaginable odds and achieved remarkable success. The number of women entrepreneurs is increasing worldwide, but we know that the balance is still pretty lopsided. So I'm thankful to organizations like Entreprenista for shining a spotlight on women who are working hard and doing big things! I’ll also be attending the Denver Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 awards dinner next week to accept that award. And I plan to make the most of all of this fortuitous attention to support our current capital raise. I’m so overwhelmingly excited for the traction Partytrick is experiencing! WHAT I RECOMMEND YOU CHECK OUT: All of the other incredible Entreprenista honorees!

I got a quick hit of New York City on a work trip earlier this month. No matter how tired I might be from the constant hustle, the city is an instant infusion of creativity and energy. In between meetings, I soaked up the street fashion, the shop windows, the new restaurants...I always leave wanting more, which is really just the best.WHAT I TOOK HOME FROM THE TRIP: I went to my friend Corey’s hypnobreath workshop at the social wellness club, Remedy Place. If you haven’t tried hypnobreathing, she offers a free introduction on her website that I highly recommend. This has become one of my favorite tools for resetting my nervous system and entering a flow state.
