There’s something about the crunch of snow underfoot and crystals winking at you from the trees that makes this whole season feel so hopeful to me. It’s been a wonderful December so far with the best yet to come. I’m sending my warmest, hot chocolate-y wishes to you and yours for a beautiful holiday season.

Zach celebrated his 9th birthday on the 2nd of this month. Someone please stop time. He requested a sushi- and yo-yo-themed party because...why not?! He’s participating in the freestyle AVSC program this winter, which – if you’re not a skier – is all about speed, showmanship, and aerial maneuvers. I am proud and terrified in equal parts! Elizabeth just had her ballet recital, and you’d be hard-pressed to convince me there is anything sweeter than little kids in tutus. She also started learning swing dancing from a friend of mine – again, jumbo cute factor.

With hosting season in full-swing, I’m thankful to my childhood icon, Katie Couric, for sharing that Partytrick makes a perfect host gift (we agree) in her 2023 gift guide! I’ll be doing a little “partying” of my own with my two kiddos as we eat our way through Partytrick’s Holiday Cookie Baking Extravaganza next week while celebrating Christmas as our little pod of 3. Cue a family sugar detox in January.  I also had a super successful trip to NYC last week to meet with several partners and new investors. I came back to Colorado with a brain full of inspiration, and now I just have to figure out how to squeeze 240 hours into the usual 24 so that I can make all these new ideas happen!

I’ve been indulging in a little year-end reflection and looking through my camera album of 2023 photos. What a year it’s been! While I am often more future-focused, it has been such a treat to take that walk (scroll) down memory lane – it was a big year for Partytrick and my little fam. I’m also feeling more engaged than ever with my community – both online and in-person – and look forward to carrying that through into the new year. Check me out on Instagram and LinkedIn for more details! But, lastly, I’m excited to slow down the pace over the holidays and just soak up every minute of time with my kids and my fur baby. So much magic to be made.
