The Summer Buzz

Hey!

It’s like I blinked and the calendar fast-forwarded right through June – where does time go? Lots of updates this month even if I don’t remember half of it. :)

Everyone who knows me knows that I’m a planner BUT also never one to conform to expectations….So, I somehow ended up booking ZERO camps for the kids this summer, and we’re flying by the seat of our pants week-by-week deciding where we’ll be and what we’re going to do. It's 100% NOT me…but who says an old dog can’t learn new tricks? We are embracing the freedom and flexibility to play things by ear, while also getting super pumped about our upcoming adventures abroad. In August, Zach, Elizabeth, and I are heading to the UK (London), France (Paris and Provence), and possibly Greece, if timing permits. Please send suggestions for E-VER-Y-THING we should see and do!

We are making big strides pushing Partytrick heavily into the B-2-B space. Turns out we’re the perfect accompaniment to any branded experience, whether it’s a curated gathering for a liquor brand or a bespoke book club designed around an author's newest release. Our sights are set high on partnering with Oprah’s Book Club, Reese's Book Club, or Read with Jenna. There are few greater things, in my opinion, than getting a group of people together to share the experience of a good book. I also had another wonderful time on Denver’s Channel 9 news sharing our Partytrick tips for summer BBQs – you can check that out here. Oh, and have you listened to our weekly Partytrick podcast yet? Every week, we feature a maker, doer, thinker, or creator who is living their best life in the entertaining space – whether as a home décor designer, a photographer, or even a cotton candy influencer! I promise you, each episode will be like a bright spot in your week! Listen here or wherever you get your podcasts. I’ve also been listening to our Partytrick playlists on Spotify on repeat. Currently obsessed with our Beach Bonfire playlist. What’s your summer soundtrack going to be?

This month’s keyword has been “patience.” From unexpected delays to the completion of our new home in Denver to missing my kids big time while they spent lots of quality time with their dad, I have been trying to embody that whole “patience is a virtue” vibe. Not my strong suit, but I think the universe has a way of giving us opportunities to stretch and grow where we need it most. So I am running with it, while also getting really, really excited to entertain in the new house…in July…I hope!

Happy holiday weekend!
