Virginia's Personal Newsletter No. 7

May Updates

Hey,

!

Somehow it was winter when I wrote to you last month, and now it’s all flip flopsand tank tops. This year is giving me major whiplash, but the good times justkeep on rolling. Read ahead for the latest!

Partytrick also had a big month! We were featured on Pop Sugar with our tips for how to plan a memorable kid’s birthday party on a budget. And I did a live segment on Channel 9 News in Denver with some of my easy tricks for celebrating the everyday – you can catch that here! And clear your schedules because I'll be back on Channel 9 on June 7th - stay tuned. Now I know that we make entertaining easy, but running a start-up is hard work, and we aren’t afraid to ask for help when we need it. So I would love to put it out into the universe that we’re trying to get Partytrick on the Today Show! If there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that community is where magic happens, so if one of you out there knows someone who knows someone, we’d be grateful for an introduction!

You probably saw it all over social media, but May was National Mental Health Month – and this is something I try to speak about openly in both my personal and professional lives. From making sure I move my body every day to setting routines to keep me sane and anchored to talking to friends, my mental health is, truly, the best investment I’ve ever made. And this month, I want to give a shout out to my friend, Corene Phelps, who introduced me to the most amazing breathwork exercise during this wild month of fundraising and biz development. I highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking for a transformative, restorative experience.
