Virginia's Personal Newsletter No. 3

Poké Ball, Press, and Puppies!

My last newsletter of 2022! The next time you hear from me, the holidays will have come and gone, and maybe you’ll be well on your way to tackling your New Year’s resolutions (or remembering why you don’t make them in the first place). :) I wish you all a happy, merry everything!

We celebrated Zach's 8th birthday earlier this month! It was his first real “big” party, and he had a blast. He even begged to decorate his own cake (we may have a junior Food Network star in the family!). His favorite part of the day was an Easter-egg-style hunt for 150 Pokémon characters I’d hidden all over the house. Zach and his friends went wild trying to find them all, but something tells me we’ll still be finding them when he’s 18. And we stillllll have the massive Poké Ball balloon installation up in our living room because he loves it so much.  The other night, Elizabeth asked me the sweetest question about what our family holiday traditions are. We talked about putting up lights and stockings, reading Christmas books and watching holiday movies, but she decided that we need to level up our game. She announced that our tree should be covered in candy canes, and so it shall be! (TBD on whether we eat more than we put on the tree.) AND we just got a sweet new puppy! It’s been lonely here without Zara, so we decided to rescue the most perfect Bernese Mountain dog ever. We can’t wait to spoil her on her first Christmas at home

(and all the other days, too). Her name is Cami after Mount Cameron – a 14’er in Colorado.

I’ve been hard at work preparing to launch my next project into the universe! The Wedding Planner's Blueprint is a course for planners that teaches my “Something Blue” method. I’m going to be sharing everything I spent a decade learning – timelines, systems, templates, FAQ’s, and so so so much more. The course goes live on January 30th, and we’re hoping lots of wedding planners out there say “I do!”  Partytrick continues to see steady growth with people all over the country using our party plans to host for the holidays, which is my Christmas wish come true. Plus, we introduced a holiday hotline – our party planning experts are on standby to answer all of your hosting questions! We’ve also been getting great press in BizBashDenver Vibe, and Shoutout Colorado. (PS - You know what’s better than getting lots of presents? Getting lots of positive reviews! We’d love if you could take a minute to leave us a review here – it helps more than you know!)

As the days grow shorter, I’ve found myself slipping into a cozy routine of more “gentle living” where I’m focused on slowing down, reconnecting with myself, and being selective about what I give my time to. If you know me – you know I have always had one setting: go-go-go. But I’m enjoying the shift away from the non-stop grind of event planning to building a more evergreen brand. This is a season of transition for me – from the old way of doing things to a new way with more balance. And one new thing I’ve been excited about, (if you follow me on Instagram, you know I’m all about promoting transparency), is freezing my eggs. Insurance policies are a good thing. ;)
