Running Through November (Literally) ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธโ€โžก๏ธ

Finding my stride between mountain peaks and city streets.

November is such an underrated month! As per usual, it's been flying by like a classic New York minute - and I find myself zigzagging between three cities, chasing personal bests, and building communities on both coasts. There's something invigorating about this multi-city dance, where each step forward feels like both an adventure and a homecoming.

This month kicked off with a whirlwind family trip to the Big Apple! The kids hadn't explored NYC properly since 2019 โ€“ aka pre-everything. Cue the montage:  squeals of delight at the Sloomoo Institute (exactly what it sounds like - a slime museum), sticky smiles at the Ice Cream Museum, and geeking out at the Intrepid (history with a side of harbor views).  The city showed its playful side to my little tourists. Watching them transform into (temporary) New York City kids, chowing down at my favorite restaurants, and making themselves at home in the apartment there โ€“ these moments are pure gold. The cherry on top was seeing them on the sidelines of the NYC marathon as I ran by โ€“ their little faces were jet fuel to my sneakers.

My 8-Minute Mile Deep Thoughts: Ever wonder what people think about when theyโ€™re running? Well, now you know

Work life lately has been all about strategic product development and go-to-market planning, which reminds me of a fascinating study I recently heard about on a podcast: Stanford MBA students were given 5 days to use a $5 seed investment and bring back the maximum revenue and then present their results to the class. The winners? They flipped the script entirely โ€“ they sold their presentation slot to a company eager to connect with top MBA talent. A $5 investment turned into $700. That's the kind of creative thinking that keeps me energized during our own sprint at Partytrick.

Iโ€™m taking this time to really focus on strengthening connections across the many areas of my life.  In the Roaring Fork Valley, itโ€™s about the kiddo community and activities galore. In Denver, I'm hosting several dinners right before Thanksgiving (Martha Stewart wouldnโ€™t dare!) โ€“ each one a chance to test my own platform and reconnect with my Denver community. And while my NYC crowd might be scattered for the holidays, a big chunk of time there in January promises plenty of gatherings at my other home base.

And post-marathon, I'm discovering there's an art to slowing down โ€“ though "slow" is always relative in my world.

My Favorite Fall Life Hack: This HappyLight Therapy lamp. As the days get shorter and shorter, I turn to LED healing light to keep my energy and mood high. Natural sunlight might be in short supply, but sunny days donโ€™t have to be. ๐ŸŒž
